Managing Director, Adam Turner has over 35 years experience in the industry, focusing on retail, commercial and industrial construction.
A qualified chartered surveyor, he looks after all commercial aspects of the business and has built a strong reputation in performance delivery and relationship management based on an open, flexible attitude.
Adam prides himself on forging long term relationships, having worked with key clients including, Waitrose and Safestore, for over 15 years.
Director, Neil Hennessey is responsible for developing new business opportunities whilst overseeing the delivery of construction projects across the region. He previously headed up the regional
retail business for Mace and has worked with many multi-national, blue chip clients such as John Lewis, Sainsburys, Asda, Primark, McArthur Glen.
Neil has over 25 years experience in the business and brings a proactive and tenacious approach, ensuring best value and quality are consistently delivered.
Neil was awarded a Fellowship from the Chartered Institute Of Building in 2017.
Robert Gott has over 20 year’s experience in residential, commercial and retail construction. Before founding UC Build, Rob built a successful career – rising quickly from an assistant site manager to project managing multi-million pound schemes.
Rob is responsible for all operational aspects of the business and is the lead for health & safety and our environmental impact. His strengths lie in building strong relationships all along the supply chain and his ability to provide adaptable solutions, before any problems arise.
James Halksworth is the Commercial Director for UC Build North and is responsible for the commercial side of the construction projects in the region.
James studied his degree in quantity surveying and has progressed to Commercial Director, working for industry heavyweights RG Group and Mace, on major retail accounts including, with many multi-national, blue chip clients.
He brings 25 years of experience to the business. James' drive and enthusiasm to gain the right result, coupled with his professionalism ensures he delivers a project to the commercial satisfaction of every client.
Economics degree-educated Ross progressed quickly through the project management ranks to lead large scale projects, before running his own groundworks business for 5 years.
Ross reports directly to the Board and manages our key, repeat order accounts. He has developed great relationships with our long-term clients based on his proactive and transparent approach to delivery. His experience, primarily focused on Retail Construction, meant he has developed real expertise working with existing retail spaces, to ensure efficient projects with the minimum of disruption.
Steve is a former roofer who progressed seamlessly into construction management. A strong leader, he currently delivers our most complex and challenging schemes with a talent for finding good construction solutions, for complex and technical projects.
Steve drives the highest standards in health and safety and delivery. The natural lead for our construction mentoring scheme, he is an effective communicator and is well liked at all levels from clients to the site labour workers.
Since joining UCBuild in 2015, Bryony has developed her technical skills to become the lead director for our Quality and Compliance systems. With a true eye for detail, she ensures full consistency across our technical delivery. Bryony also heads up our pre-contract department and manages the securing of projects via tender.
Byrony’s experience across design team and design process management, in Retail and Commercial fit out projects, has led to developing quality management systems that ensure consistent process delivery of our projects
Oscar joined us in 2020 as a trainee construction manager and propelled himself into a key Construction Manager delivering high profile projects for M&S and the NHS. His tenacity and commitment to quality is unsurpassed and is a key member of our northern delivery team.
Abby has been with UCBuild since our inception and cost manages our high profile food retail projects with clients such as Iceland, Waitrose and John Lewis. She delivers great work based on a detailed approach to cost and procurement as well as excelling on team relations.
Pat recently joined us after 27 years at a large main contractor. RICS qualified, Pat leads our cost team on all southern projects and ensures commercial performance on our projects as well as client satisfaction is maintained and grown. A self confessed “old dog”, Pat is our safest pair of hands on the commercial aspects on everything we deliver.
