The project involved extensive refurbishment of various home departments, including modifications to the main store entrance area and installing a large 5m x 5m LED TV. The work took place round the clock, with operations running both during the day and night.
Despite facing significant disruptions due to the first national lockdown in April 2020, UC Build's team was able to adapt and restart the project, ultimately completing it by June 2020. The successful management of international contractors from the EU was crucial in creating a proper staging for the One Home, One Planet conference hosted by IKEA.
